Health Profession Department
The faculty of Intermediate Studies offers a two- year university program in medicine. This program qualifies students to get a Diploma Certificate at: General Nursing, Gynecology, Operation Technician and Medical Secretary. This program prepares experts and specialized nurses and technicians who can work within teams of different medical specializations to look after patients and improve the quality of nursing in hospitals and other medical institutions. The program includes these majors:
The main responsibilities of the Public Relations Department:
1- General Nursing:
This major aims at preparing well-qualified nurses who can help patients in all medical institutions.
· The General Nursing taught Curriculum:
The curriculum is written in both English and Arabic languages. It is distributed on four semesters – two years - . the curriculum includes the university requirement subjects, the faculty requirement subjects and the specialization subjects according to the international norms. Specialization subjects include theoretical and practical subjects. After students finish the curriculum successfully they should finish three hundred training hours excellently to be allowed to receive their university certificates.
2- Operations Technicians:
This major aims at preparing well-qualified graduates who have the ability to work at the operation rooms of hospitals and other medical institutions.
3- Gynecology and Delivery:
Experts and specialized people graduate from this program. They are well- qualified and trained nurses and midwives who can work at this field efficiently and effectively in hospitals or any other medical institutions. Students can't get their university certificate unless they finish two hundred training hours.
4- Medical Secretary:
This program works at graduating specialized and well-qualified graduates who can run and manage the medical record. Graduates are expected to be able to make a regular follow up and archiving for records throughout the modern scientific ways in order to support and improve the medical fields.
The graduates can't take their certificates unless they finish one hundred and fifty training hours.
